You are welcome at Second Baptist Church of Germantown! We understand that visiting a new church for the first time can leave you feeling a little apprehensive. We trust that this page will make it easier to know what to expect.
We invite you join us for service each Sunday morning at 11:00 am. For anyone who would like to watch online, click the link below.
Like the community surrounding our church, we are a diverse family, with a diversity of theological views. Our congregation is intentional about being "a church for all people." While Second Baptist is predominantly female, a significant percent of the church attendees are male, and smaller percentage identify as other. The church is predominantly Black/African-American, but nearly 20% of attendees identify as Caucasian. The largest single age group are those ages 40 to 49 but the age of the congregation ranges from babies to those 75 years of age and above.
Second Baptist is committed to ensuring a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment. We take into considered guidance by city officials as well as recommendations by the CDC and then try to make wise decisions about in-person gathering that account for those considerations and the health of our members. We want everyone else to make the decision they are most comfortable with and to feel welcome whatever their decision may be, whether to join us virtually or on the church grounds.
